Helical opens its doors to the Northern Automotive Alliance
Helical hosted a site tour and networking event for the Northern Automotive Alliance (NAA) at its Warton Technical Centre on 5 October 2016.
Helical, a member of the NAA, welcomed over 30 visitors to its Technical Centre in order to show fellow members its extensive range of testing facilities.
The Warton Technical Centre houses 12 engine test cells, two semi-anechoic engine dyno test cells and one semi-anechoic vehicle chassis dyno test cell. In addition there are many other facilities including a test track.
Helical Technology has been established for over 50 years and has a global presence with production facilities in the UK, India and China. With a background in the design, development and manufacture of springs, valve rotators and actuators, the business is now a world leader in the design and manufacture of acoustic and EGR exhaust valves.
The Northern Automotive Alliance helps to support and nurture supply chain companies in the region to grow into larger businesses, in order to strengthen the upstream supply chain in the UK. In the most recent members’ survey, the NAA, which has been established for over 12 years, was overwhelmingly described as useful, effective and reliable, consistently delivering what it says it will deliver.
